Award winning publishing company is looking for an enthusiastic individual with ColdFusion and web design skills to join our growing Web Development Team.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, ColdFusion and SQL. Experience and understanding of modern JavaScript/AJAX frameworks (preferably jQuery) and industry standard image-editing and design applications such as Photoshop is preferable, but not essential. A knowledge and interest in additional areas of web design and development - such as Web Usability, SEO and mobile technologies – would be beneficial, as is experience of working with Web Statistics Software (e.g. Google Analytics).

 

The role will involve designing, developing and maintaining our portfolio of database-driven ColdFusion-powered websites and in-house systems. We currently use a custom OO framework based on fusebox running on CF7, although we are in the planning stages of migration to CF9. As a result, an interest in new and emerging web technologies, strong problem-solving skills, outstanding organisation and attention to detail are key, as is a good eye for design. The ability to work as part of a team and to work proactively are also vital.
