Event: Mura Plugins - 10th November

Session:

Your website is running on the Mura CMS, and now you need it to do a little (or a lot) more. Building a plugin to extend existing functionality or add something completely new is not only easy, it will let you do it in a way that is completely update-safe and easily distributed. This session will show you the basics of a Mura plugin by starting with an empty directory and building it up to include installation, front-end content displays and event handlers.

Speaker:

Grant Shepert is a Lead Developer for Blue River, developers of the popular Mura CMS. Grant's early and many contributions to the open-source CMS, including the Meld Gallery and Forums plugins, eventually led to him opening the Blue River EU office in London, England. Grant has presented at a number of conferences, is a certified trainer on the Mura CMS, and will soon be the host of the new Mura Demo Show coming soon.
